Explore local stories within Newcastle’s classical surroundings in the Grainger Town district into Old Newcastle and to the riverside, Newcastle’s famous Quayside – all whilst tasting some of the amazing foods from local suppliers & innovative foodies.
Grab a bite at local, and utterly amazing, Grainger Market, discover some of the quirky food places around the eclectic High Bridge Quarter and sample some amazing desserts along the riverside.

Begin at Earl Grey, hear the story of Newcastle, its food and explore one of the best regional food courts around!
Time to sample some amazing (and we really mean amazing!) clean, healthy, nutritious & delicious food right in the heart of Grainer Town!
Grainger Market is a busy, vibrant market which still plays a role in Newcastle's bustling shopping and dining culture, nearly 200 years after it first opened. We'll explore the history and take you to some of our favourite street food stalls. Ohhh, yummy!
It's time to feast on wings! But not just any wings - these are drenched in amazing regionally produced sauces and you will luuuurve them! These top-secret recipes and we can’t wait for you to get your beaks around them!
Taste something from this fab (and tiny) bakery in the eclectic mix of Dean Street on the way down to the famous Quayside. These guys know a thing or two about sourdough, in-house laminated pastries and danish! Try one of their little sweet treats and enjoy a spot of local tea, too!
Round it all off with a local ice cream (made in the rolling hills of Northumberland) whilst overlooking the architecture and bridges of the historic Quayside.
