We’ve teamed up with some amazing local independent suppliers to bring you an eclectic street food tour of Newcastle!
Designed for visitors to the city, this guided street food tour is a delicious way to discover Newcastle — combining iconic locations, local flavours, and fascinating stories along the way.
We partner with passionate independent food traders, artisan producers, and innovative small restaurants to showcase the city through its food. You’ll enjoy a generous selection of tastings inspired by local and global cuisines, reflecting Newcastle’s rich heritage and evolving food scene.
Your tour includes visits to artisan bakeries and traditional market stalls inside the Victorian Grainger Market, where locals have shopped for centuries. We’ll visit the characterful High Bridge Quarter, a hub for independent businesses and restaurants.
The tour also takes in some of Newcastle’s newest and most exciting food destinations, including the recently opened STACK at Worswick Chambers and the elegant Food Hall inside Fenwick’s department store — a true Newcastle institution.
As you walk between stops, your guide will share stories of Newcastle’s past and present, helping you get your bearings and discover the city beyond the food. Expect a relaxed pace, plenty of local insight, and recommendations you can use for the rest of your stay.

"OMG" comes to mind at this fab bakery in the eclectic mix of the lower city on the way down to the riverside.
